As a thought leader on sustainable development, the IDB Group works closely with many universities, think tanks and research institutions. With the help of its academic partners, the Bank’s research programs and networks, institutes, policy dialogues, outreach initiatives, and publications deliver creative solutions for development challenges and strengthen the region’s research capacity.
Research Networks: IDB research networks create and share knowledge and data on Latin American and Caribbean development issues.
Statistics and Tools: Over 1,000 economic, social, governance and trade indicators provide comprehensive data on living conditions and socioeconomic progress in the region.
Felipe Herrera Library: Open to the public from on Monday to Friday from 10 am – 5 pm, the Felipe Herrera Library has an extensive collection of print and online resources on economic and social development in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Inter-American Institute for Economic and Social Development: The Inter-American Institute for Economic and Social Development, INDES, is an integral part of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and functions as a training center for design and management of policy and national programs.
Institute for the Integration of Latin America and the Caribbean (INTAL): INTAL supports the Bank's regional integration strategy, creating and sharing knowledge about regional trade, integration and cooperation, and providing technical assistance for institutional strengthening and dialogue with civil society and the private sector.
Regional Policy Dialogue: A space where borrowing member countries can exchange experiences and help each other prepare to face the challenges of globalization and generate processes for regional cooperation.
