Growing Support for Latin America and the Caribbean
The global financial crisis has affected economic growth in several countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, threatening to reverse recent poverty gains as well as economic and fiscal advances.
The Inter-American Development Bank worked closely with countries in the region to provide additional financing and policy advice to governments and the private sector. The aim is to lessen the impact of the global financial crisis and provide budget support to help ensure economic stability.
