Banco Continental of Paraguay will expand lending program to SME
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) approved a loan for $25 million that will permit Banco Continental S.A.E.C.A. de Paraguay (“BC”) to finance a lending program to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).

Banco Promerica de Costa Rica to increase mortgages and loans for green projects with IDB support
IDB approved a $15 million loan to Banco Promerica de Costa Rica to help the bank expand its long-term mortgage operations and loans for environmentally sustainable projects.

Institutions in Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Nicaragua win IDB microenterprise awards
Two microfinance institutions from the Dominican Republic and Bolivia, respectively, and renewable energy company in Nicaragua are this year's winners of the annual awards presented by the Inter-American Development Bank to organizations offering outstanding services to microenterprise in Latin America and the Caribbean.
